I remember CPT Walker. Here is a letter my family received from him when I was first assigned to the 57th AHC in December 1971:

I remember Capt Walker fondly. He was the hardest working Officer I have ever met then and now. I remember once we were on a test flight and Capt Walker put us in a hover about two or three hundred feet. There he fell asleep. Somebody yelled in to the mike and he woke up. We landed safely. He was a good man. I practicly begged him to transfer me from the engine shop to a flight platoon. He granted my request. I tried looking him up several times but never had any luck. On that note I looked up 1st Sgt Carley. From what I found he eventually got promoted to SgtMaj. Sadly he died in 2007 or 2008 if I recalled right. I liked him just as well.
