| Comment: | I noticed that the reunion this time is about one fifth to one tenth as many. Last year there had to be at least a hundred and fifty or more and even more counting wives and significant others seeing as how only 31 are on the list of those that are attending. I am saddened by this; but I do understand that circumstances vary and makes it difficult. I am considering coming even though I waited too long to get the group rate. If I do come I will be driving out and should arrive the 16th or 17th. I do hope I will be able to come and bring my youngest son with me this time. | |

| Comment: | I have been corresponding with Jim Cloninger, POW/MIA case officer concerning locating the crash site of 69-15715 on April 24, 1972 near Dak To II. Jim requests "photo's of the river (with island) at the western edge of the airstrip". Also, he wants to know if anyone has knowledge of the crash site . I recall hearing an Emergency Locator Transmitter going off for 2-3 days around that time period. We were told to ignore it. | Comment: | My cousin CPT David Rogers served with the 57AHC in 1967-68. He was a real big brother for me..I was born in 1960 and even during the time before he returned to Vietnam in early 1969 he made the effort to spend considerable time during a difficult point in my life. Truly unselfish, I will always remember his smiling face and the dark day when we found out he was killed in his hooch days after reporting to his new assignment.
